As a child I really enjoyed the time I spent reading (or being read to). There are some books from my childhood that will always stand out to me. A few favorites of mine were A Tree Is Nice, Kermit the Hermit, Are You My Mother?, and Come Along Daisy.
Now it’s your turn. Leave me a comment with some of the books you liked as a child. Thanks!

The Crippled Lamb by Max Lucado is a wonderful and insiring story for childre. I also enjoy Dr. Seuss and P.D. Eastman books.
How about the books I read to my children? Sir Toby Jingles Last Great Adventure, All the “Sweet Pickles” books, everything Dr. Seuss, The Narnia. Whenever there was a character I had to do a “voice” for him/her/it! The voices made the characters even more real! Loved reading to kids! Oh, and their very favorite stories were the ones I wrote for them!
I love to read to my kids. Yes, you’ve got to get those voices right! Too bad they grow out of it
. I’ve got a year, maybe two before my girls are off to teenhood.
Thanks!
It’s got to be Dr. Seuss–I still have his words cavorting around inside my head much of the time!
I totally agree. I should have put The Grinch on my short list. The ryhme and meter was (and is) perfect. Thanks for the comment!
